psy-faerie:
This post will just be a medical journal for myself to look back on things I have tried to find answers. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I feel like it is often a secondary disorder caused by other things. I will add to this as more tests are done.
Medical things that I have tried but have not yet explained my severe fatigue:
Better diet only gives slight improvement
I already took magnesium but I also get it in IV infusions now
B12 was slightly low but now I get vitamin IV’s
D was slightly low but now I supplement
All vitamin supplements slightly helped but improvement plateaued
Full thyroid panel was clear
Anemia tests were clear
Diabetes tests were clear
I have Gilbert’s syndrome (my bilirubin is high for seemingly no reason). But it’s not really supposed to cause symptoms.
I honestly feel worse than ever now even with adding new supplements, I think winter flares up my symptoms.
OKAY so my echocardiogram was clear! My doctor even made the cardiologist check twice to be sure. My murmur is just really loud but benign.
We also retested my B12 and D. My B12 only moved up ever so slightly, still way under optimal range. My D didn’t budge at all. So we’re doing vitamin IV’s more often again, every 2 weeks. Honestly if I don’t start to feel better I might try for once a week. She also gave me a script for 50,000 vitamin D to take once a week.
Like I’ve said before my body has always had issues absorbing nutrients. Ever since I was born.
I asked for a cortisol test since I’ve had problems with that before. But she wants to help me with cost so she’s giving me an adrenal supplement to try first. If it doesn’t help then I’ll pay for testing.
AND THANK YOU UNIVERSE - she prescribed me muscle relaxers for really bad days! She wants me to limit them because she wants to figure out how to fix my problems at the source but I’m still really happy she gave me SOMETHING for days that I really can’t handle it.
I’m going to try to budget for massages once a month too. I have one scheduled for tomorrow. I hold way too much stress in my shoulder/neck area, my shoulders/neck spasmed twice this week.
